Have you ever read a programming languages paper and felt really excited? Have you gone for a long stretch without reading any cool stuff on compilers, and did that make you feel sad? When Adrian Coyler stopped writing The Morning Paper, did that leave a hole in your life that you haven’t quite been able to fill?
Unfortunately, I’m no Adrian Coyler; I’m Varun. I currently work on Code Intelligence at Sourcegraph, and I previously worked on the Swift compiler at Apple. On the brighter side, I do know a little bit about compilers and programming languages, and I love talking and learning more about them!
This newsletter is my humble attempt at sharing some PL papers that I find interesting or valuable in some way, in the hope that they spark joy for you. I intend to discuss 1 paper every N weeks, for some N that doesn’t succ too much.
